Yes folks its true, Most media outlets sell your personal browsing information to third parties. As shown on the WJHL.com web site
Privacy Preference Center
“You have the right to opt-out of the sale of your personal information to third parties. These cookies collect information for analytics and to personalize your experience with targeted ads. You may exercise your right to opt out of the sale of personal information by using this toggle switch.”
Why should a company hide such aspects on there site? This should be mentioned up front that by visiting this site you OPT in to give them permission to use your information for the purpose of making them money. Placing advertisements on there site should be enough with out having to sell your personal information. If you didn’t search for this info on there site you would never know that you are worth Monterey value. I personal would like a piece of that cash flow for giving you my info with out notice.
Whats your thoughts on this?
